Missing Brit Abroad: 24-Year-Old Vanishes While Traveling Through Europe

The family of a vanished British individual mentioned they didn’t receive ‘any communication’ from the Spanish authorities following the termination of the search efforts earlier this week.

Matthew Chapman, aged 24, was reported as missing on April 30, and earlier this week, authorities initiated a two-day search around the well-liked holiday destination of Tossa de Mar in Catalonia.

Jason Taylor, aged 36, disappeared while waiting for a flight to return to Birmingham, leading to a police search that concluded successfully almost four days later on April 1 when he was seen strolling along a nearby shore.

Police sources said after he was found that the fact he didn't have his mobile phone on him had caused him extra complications.

Tossa de Mar is about 60 miles north of Barcelona and the same distance south of the French border.
