Europe's First Five Guys Airport Opens in UK's Busiest Travel Hub

Heathrow Airport has revealed intentions to launch a new Five Guys eatery, in a European first.

Scheduled to open in Terminal 5 – which will be temporarily called 'Terminal Five Guys' for this event – the well-known American franchise is set to make its first appearance at the airport. UK’s busiest airport later in 2025.

Back in 2013, Five Guys launched its inaugural UK eatery, yet this move signifies their initial foray into airports within both the UK and Europe .

Situated on the top floor of the terminal, the 2,500 square feet space is burger joint is expected to seat around 90 diners, as well as offering a takeaway service for travellers on the go.

Operating during every flight of the day from takeoff until landing, this menu will specifically cater to travelers experiencing jet lag and adjusting to different time zones.

While specific information hasn’t been disclosed yet, the company has verified that breakfast choices will be up for grabs all day long at Five Guys, along with their famous burgers, hot dogs, and cut fries.

It is anticipated that the restaurant will generate anywhere from 80 to 100 new positions, and will feature ordering stations available in six different languages.

The American fast food chain was founded in Virginia in 1986 and opened its first UK location in Covent Garden in 2013.

Visitors can locate the eatery at numerous key U.S. airports as well as at Dubai International Airport, which introduced its first Five Guys location globally just last year, marking an expansion beyond North America.

In 2024, Heathrow welcomed approximately 81 million travelers, with ambitions to reach an all-time high of 84.2 million passengers in 2025.
