Starting with a 'random meeting' between an eagle and a fox all the way to an 'unspoiled' glacial lake, these stunning photos highlight the finest work from international travel photographers in 2025.
The National Geographic Traveller has revealed the victors of this year’s Photography Contest, where both novice and seasoned photographers present stunning images from their travels.
Pat Riddell, editor of National Geographic Traveller (UK) , stated: "Our contest continues to grow stronger each year, and this edition is undoubtedly one of the most impressive ones we've had. Exceptional photography lies at the core of what defines the National Geographic brand, and these winning entries fittingly embody that excellence."
'Capturing everything from the dramatic landscapes of Iceland and Italy to amazing wildlife photography Spain and Canada , the 18 finalists – who were selected from countless submissions – have truly raised the bar for travel photography through their creativity and expertise.’
The top honor this year goes to Justin Cliffe for his stunning depiction of a woman and her grandchild engaged in embroidery in Vietnam.
The judging panel says: 'This is such an intimate moment between generations that captures so much beauty and humanity.
The hues, illumination, and surfaces blend together nicely.
